The Setting
Zappettini took a stripped down space of approximately 1600sq.ft. in the iconic historical Russ Building in downtown San Francisco to install its prestigious main office. High ceilings, old radiators and original windows formed the canvas for the work.

The Scope
Design a layout to include a reception, executive office, two closed offices, a conference room and a kitchenette. Work with the local contractor to specify materials and electrical and audi-visual layout.

The Special Request
Create a sophisticated, discreet and elegant environment in which the building heritage complements the Italian heritage of the client. The executive office should be away from the reception, have acces to the conference room and direct access to the assistant's office. Artwork should give the final touch to the space.

The Concept
Hardwood floors and soft grey custom-mixed organic paints on the walls give a European flair to the space. Majestic full height doors, sliding bronze-meshed glass doors and indirectly lit, soffeted ceiling convey luxury and a stately quality to the volumes. Carefully chosen feature antiques and artwork give the sophistication and daring panache to the elegant space. A bespoke conference table, designed by NOMADESSENCE and made of an Italian Portoro marble slab, hand-picked, and bronzed Venetian glass legs with brass connectivity trimmings, becomes the wow-factor centerpiece of the conference room.

The modernity of Milan, with the elegance of Florence. What a combination: feels European, but High Tech at the same time
